Date and Place of Birth: 12 October 1950, Aswan, Egypt
Qualifications: Ph.D. Electronics and Communications from Cairo University, an M.Sc in Electronic Engineering from Cairo University, and a B.Sc in Communication Engineering from Asuit University .
Career: Over 33 years, Dr. Ibrahim has served in electrical interconnection, energy strategies and policies, preparation of technical agreements and protocols, energy planning studies, computer aided management for projects and electric network design, project management in electric networks, renewable energy and testing facilities. She has held various posts among which are: First Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Electricity and Energy in Egypt, General Manager for training and promotion in the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA); Director of photovoltaic, research and testing department in Cairo; Associate professor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Director of specifications department at the NREA in Cairo.
