يعرب الاتحاد الأفريقي عن أعمق تعازيه للأسرة وشعب جمهورية تشاد في اعقاب الوفاة المفاجئة لفخامة الرئيس ادريس ديبي.
لعب الرئيس الراحل ديبي دوراً رئيسياً في تعزيز أجندة الاتحاد الأفريقي لتعزيز السلم والأمن ، وكان داعماً قوياً لجهود الاتحاد لتهيئة بيئة من الأمن والاستقرار ، ولاسيما في منطقة الساحل.
يقف الاتحاد الأفريقي متضامنا مع حكومة وشعب جمهورية تشاد خلال هذا الوقت العصيب، وينضم إليهم في الحداد على فقدان بطل مساعي أفريقيا لتوفير قارة سلمية وآمنة ومستقرة.

Addis Ababa, 22 March 2021: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, continues to monitor the developments in Somalia ahead of today's planned National Consultative Forum meeting to resolve the electoral impasse.
While the Chairperson is encouraged by the arrival in Mogadishu of leaders from all the Federal Member States, as well as other stakeholders, he is gravely concerned at reports that the meeting could take place without the participation all the FMS Presidents.

أديس أبابا/نيروبي- 17 مارس 2021: مسترشداً بالنتائج التي توصل إليها تقريره عن الكوارث العالمية، شرع الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر في اتجاه استراتيجي طموح يهدف إلى القضاء على الجوع بحلول عام 2030 في أفريقيا ، مع التخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ. وتتمثل أحد أهم إجراءات التكيف مع المناخ في زراعة خمسة مليارات شجرة بحلول نهاية العقد.
