The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, congratulates the Kingdom of Morocco on its historic triumph at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup, after an impressive victory over Argentina, saying it is a proud moment for Morocco and for African football.

The Chairperson praised the young Atlas Lions for their outstanding performance and spirit, which have brought immense pride to Morocco and the entire African continent.

“This victory is a testament to the strength and potential of African youth and the power of sport to unite and inspire our nations,” said the Chairperson. “Morocco’s achievement reflects the continent’s growing excellence in football and the results of sustained investment in youth and sports development.”

The Chairperson also extended congratulations to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, the coaching team, and all Moroccans for their support and commitment to nurturing young talent.
