استقبل رئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي، محمود علي يوسف، اليوم الدكتورة فارسين أغبيكيان شاهين، وزيرة الخارجية والمغتربين في دولة فلسطين.
وأكد الرئيس التزام الاتحاد الأفريقي الراسخ بحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابلة للتصرف، بما في ذلك السعي إلى حل الدولتين باعتباره السبيل الأمثل لتحقيق سلام عادل وشامل ودائم.
كما شدد الجانبان خلال مناقشاتهما على أهمية اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في غزة كخطوة مهمة نحو وقف الدمار المستمر وتخفيف معاناة المدنيين.

يدين السيد محمود علي يوسف، رئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي، بأشد العبارات الهجمات المروّعة في كالوغي، جنوب كردفان، والتي راح ضحيتها أكثر من مائة مدني، من بينهم عشرات النساء والأطفال في روضة أطفال. إن الاستهداف المتعمد للأطفال والمربين والطواقم الطبية والمدنيين الذين حاولوا إسعاف الجرحى، وفقاً لما نقلته وسائل الإعلام، يشكل انتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي الإنساني وقانون حقوق الإنسان.
