AUC Chairperson congratulates Mauritania for peaceful and successful elections

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma congratulates the people of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for organising peaceful and successful elections.

The Chairperson hails the Mauritanian people for responsibly in exercising their civic responsibility and strengthening their country’s democracy.

Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma congratulates the President-elect, Mr Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz for his victory, and second five year term of office. She encourages the President-elect to continue transforming the people’s earned confidence into improving their livelihood and strengthening social cohesion.
