The 1st Global Parliamentarian Diaspora Parliamentary Forum was held in South Africa in May 2012 just before the Global Diaspora Summit. This is a follow-up that will consolidate it into a network. The Forum is being organized by CIDO in collaboration with the Pan-African Parliament (PAP). The first preparatory meeting was held on 7-8 April 2014 and the second and final preparatory meeting will be held in late June 2014. An announcement will be made subsequently on the precise dates of the meeting but it is anticipated to be in August 2014 to give proper lead time for preparation.
