Following the award of the grants to be supported to grow to become Regional Internet
Exchange Points (RIXPs), The African Union Commission organizes grant
management workshop to guide the RIXPs on the AU procurement procedures grant
implementation processes and recommend ways to address implementation
challenges faced by the grant recipients.

Six Internet exchange Points (IXPs) of Gabon, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa
and Zimbabwe have been awarded grants to be supported to grow to become
Regional Internet Exchange Points (RIXPs).

Representatives from all the six IXP organization attended the workshop that was held at
headquarters of African Union Commission in Addis, Ababa, Ethiopia from 26-27
may 2016.
