AU Commission Chairperson to address 4th Africa-Arab Summit in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 22 November 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, will address the 4th Africa-Arab Summit of African Union and League of Arab Member States, on 23 November 2016, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Member States of both the African Union (AU) Member States and the League of Arab States (LAS) began meeting in Malabo on 17 November, to discuss strategies of strengthening the relationship between the two sides.
The AU Commission Chairperson is expected to lay emphasis on some flagships areas of Agenda 2063 from the African side as they both seek to work together for a mutually beneficial partnership.
Dr. Dlamini Zuma will take the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with some leaders and heads of delegations.
The Assembly of Heads of State of both AU and LAS will meet following meetings of their Foreign Affairs Ministers, permanent representatives and senior officials.
