What: The African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold their 11th Joint Consultative meeting.

When: 8 September from 09:45hrs - 10:10hrs (Opening Ceremony)
13:30hrs – 14:00hrs (Press Conference to be addressed by Amb. Tekeda Alemu, Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the UN and UNSC President for the month of September and Amb. Mamosadinyana P.J. Molefe, Permanent Representative of Botswana and AUPSC Chair for the month of September)
Where: African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Plenary Hall, Old Conference Hall

Who: The Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AUPSC) and the members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
Why: To exchange views on peace and security issues in Africa, specifically, on conflict and crisis situations in Somalia, South Sudan and the Lake Chad Basin.
