Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 27 June 2019: His Excellency Amb. Kwesi Quartey, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, (AUC) received a team of three lecturers from Cranfield University, UK, led by Prof. Ann Fitz-Gerald, Course Director for Security Sector Management Programme both in the UK and in Ethiopia. The team organized a five-day Defence Resource Management training, with the support of the UK government, for selected Security Units drawn from the Commission and a few Member States. The training was customized to meet a specific request of the AU. On behalf of the AU, the Deputy Chairperson expressed appreciation to the team as well as the UK government for partnering the AU to strengthen peace and security on the continent.
