Weekly Press Briefing on Coronavirus Disease Outbreak in Africa
INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA
OVERVIEW: This briefing is a weekly engagement of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) with the media to share critical updates on the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa and the status of implementing the adapted Africa Joint Continental Strategy for COVID-19 Outbreak, including Africa CDC’s response activities and the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in AU Member States.
Thursday’s briefing will provide update on the continuous efforts being made by the Africa Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) to deliver the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to more member states across the continent in recent weeks.
