Africa CDC Weekly Press Briefing on the response to Public Health Emergencies in Africa
INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA
OVERVIEW: This briefing which commenced in 2020 is a channel through which the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has engaged with the media on a weekly basis, to share critical updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic response and other public health emergencies in Africa.
Thursday’s briefing will provide the regular updates on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic response, the recent Marburg virus disease outbreak in Equatorial Guinea, and other health emergencies happening across the continent. The Director will also make mention of specific side-events and other activities being hosted by Africa CDC on the margins of the ongoing AU summit.
