H.E. Annelies Verstichel, Ambassador of Belgium to Ethiopia & Permanent Representative to the AU, paid a courtesy call on H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the AUC, this afternoon. She conveyed a message of congratulations from the Belgian Foreign Minister & held discussions on AUC–Belgium partnership, the forthcoming AU–EU Ministerial meeting in Brussels, & regional peace & security.
The Chairperson welcomed Belgium’s continued support to AU initiatives & commended its longstanding commitment to multilateral diplomacy within the EU framework. They both reaffirmed the importance of multilateralism - inclusive partnerships in advancing shared priorities.
