The Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, & the UN Secretary-General H.E. @antonioguterres met on the sidelines of the 34th Arab League Summit in Baghdad this afternoon to discuss the situation in Sudan. They expressed deep concern over Sudan’s worsening conflict & humanitarian crisis, calling for urgent international action to end the violence, ensure humanitarian access, & support a lasting ceasefire. They also agreed to continue coordinating efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and reaffirmed their commitment to Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, & territorial integrity.
