During his visit to the Republic of South Africa this week, the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, visited Freedom Park, a national heritage site & memorial dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom.

The Chairperson appreciated the Park’s powerful role in preserving historical memory, fostering reconciliation, & celebrating the resilience & diversity of the leaders & individuals whose courage helped shape a better world.

During the tour, he also met with Ms. Jane Mufamadi, Chief Executive Officer of the Freedom Park Memorial Museum.
