يعتزم الاتحاد الأفريقي، من خلال المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها، أن يتحرك، جنباً إلى جنب مع الصندوق الأفريقي لاقتناء اللقاحات، للمضي قدماً في تحقيق هدفه المتمثل في تلقيح 60 في المائة على الأقل من السكان ، مع استمرارهم في قيادة المعركة ضد جائحة كوفيد-19 في القارة الأفريقية
