AU COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON RECEIVES LETTER OF CREDENCE OF
H.E. MR. ANDREAS GAARDER, AMBASSADOR OF NORWAY

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 28 August 2014- The African Union Commission Chairperson, Her Excellency Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the African Union Commission, Mr. Andreas Gaarder today.
Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma welcomed the ambassador and noted the longstanding relationship between the African Union and Kingdom of Norway in socio-economic and political areas.
Her Excellency appreciated Norway’s development co-operation with the African Union and stressed the latter’s efforts to build a climate-resilient economy by investing in environmental protection and renewable energy including hydropower, solar, wind and geothermal energy sources.
The Chairperson also highlighted that there is still more that can be done, further indicating that she is looking forward for more cooperation between the African Union Commission and the Kingdom of Norway.
