MEDIA ADVISORY 4TH AFRICA- ARAB SUMMIT Malabo, Equatorial Guinea 19-23 November 2016 INVITATION TO MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES When: 19th -23rd November 2016 •19 November -Africa-Arab Senior Officials Meeting •21 November -Meeting of the Joint Council of African and Arab Ministers of Foreign affairs • 23rd November – Africa Arab Summit Where: Malabo, Equatorial Guinea - SIPOPO Conference Center Who: Organized by the African Union and the league of Arab States Focus of the Summit: The Summit will give special emphasis to the following five priority areas: Political Developments/Terrorism Development Financing Agricultural Development and Food Security. Disaster Response Fund. Migration Expected outcomes: Adoption of the Final Documents of the 4th Africa-Arab Summit: Malabo Declaration of the 4th Africa-Arab Summit; Declaration on Palestine; Africa-Arab Cooperation Action Plan Resolutions Sideline events: *An Africa-Arab Economic Forum will be held prior to the Senior Officials meeting, on 18th November 2016, with the participation of the Private Sector. The Forum is expected to contribute to the development of Trade and Investment between the two sides. The outcome of the Forum will be presented to the Summit. *Joint Africa Arab Ministers of Economy, Finance and Trade will be held on 21 November 2016 Participants: All member states of the African Union Commission and the league of Arab states.
