The Chairperson of the Commission Receives the Letter of Credence of H.E. Prof. Mafa Sejanamane, New Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the African Union

Addis Abeba, 08 June 2018 – H.E. Prof Mafa Sejanamane, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho has presented his letter of credence to the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat on 08 June 2018 at the AU Commission Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The new Ambassador emphasised the commitment of his country to work closely with the African Union towards achieving regional integration, development and lasting security in the continent. He added ‘We are working on pending issues of ratification and signature of the various AU instruments.’

The Chairperson expressed his satisfaction with the positive collaboration of the Kingdom of Lesotho with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to solve the political issues in Lesotho, and assured Prof. Mafa that the AU Commission is ready to continue supporting Lesotho on its Defense and security reforms.
