Media Announcement for Online Registration

39th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 3rd Mid-Year Coordination Meeting 14-16 October 2021

The Directorate of Information and Communication (ICD) of the African Union Commission (AUC) hereby announces that the online registration for journalists interested to cover the 39th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 3rd Mid-Year Coordination Meeting scheduled to take place from 14-16 October 2021 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia has been launched on the AU website. 

The meetings are scheduled to take place as follows:

14-15 October 2021: 39th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council (Physical)

16 October 2021: 3rd Mid-Year Coordination Meeting between the AU, RECs and RMs (Virtual)

A media advisory note explaining all the detailed arrangements for media coverage of the 3rd AU-RECs meeting will be posted subsequently on the website.

Issues to be discussed during the meeting include, among others:

Budget of the Union for the year 2022
Multilateral Cooperation
Operationalisation of the Africa CDC. The Covid-19 Pandemic and Its Socio-Economic Impact on African Economies
AU Structural Reforms

Journalists will be able to cover all the open sessions physically and through the dedicated zoom link which will be provided upon receipt of your registration confirmation.
