The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, bid farewell to H.E. Stephanie S. Sullivan, Ambassador of the United States of America to the African Union, commending her constructive engagement in strengthening AU–U.S. relations and advancing cooperation on peace, security, and development.
The exchange underscored the importance of sustained engagement, partnership, and multilateral cooperation as effective avenues for advancing shared peace, security, and development objectives, in line with Africa’s continental priorities and common interests.
The Chairperson expressed appreciation to Ambassador Sullivan for her service and wished her success in her future endeavours, while reaffirming the African Union’s commitment to continued cooperation with the United States.
