Pre departure Training of Ethiopian Volunteers for Ebola

INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA

What: Pre departure Training of the Ethiopian Health Workers under ASEOWA to help stop the Ebola outbreak in West Africa

When: Opening Ceremony of the Training will take place on Monday 15th December 2014.

Where: African Union Commission Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Who: African Union Support for Ebola Outbreak in West Africa (ASEOWA) in collaboration with the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Background: The African Union Support to Ebola Outbreak in West Africa is deploying medical and human resource capacities in response to the Ebola Virus Outbreak in West Africa. 380 African health workers are currently on the ground in the three worst affected countries of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Journalists are invited to cover the opening ceremony of the training on Monday 15th December 2014 9.00 a.m at the AUC; Addis Ababa-Ethiopia.
