What: Official opening ceremony of the Twenty Sixth (26th) Ordinary General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OFLAD), will hold under the theme: “Twenty years in the service of the most vulnerable of Africa”

When: Sunday 06 February 2022.
Time: as from 08:30 am

Where: Plenary Hall of the Old Conference Building, African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Who: The 26th Ordinary General Assembly of OAFLAD is organized by the Organization of African First Ladies for Development

Highlights of the event:

The opening ceremony will feature the following :

• Welcome remarks by Her Excellency, Zinash Tayachew, First Lady of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia

• Opening remarks by the outgoing President of OAFLAD and introduction of the new OAFLAD President, Vice President and OAFLAD Steering Committee.

• Statement by the incoming President of OAFLAD

• Greetings from the African Union Commission represented by Her Excellency Madam Minata Cessouma Samate, Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development of the AUC

• Group photo
