This afternoon, H.E. Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the @ecowas_cedeao, visited H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the AU Commission. They had productive discussion on the situation in West Africa & the Sahel, regional integration, & sustainable financing for African-led peace support operations.
H.E. Dr. Touray reaffirmed ECOWAS' commitment to working in close coordination with the AU in advancing the continental peace, security, and integration agenda.
Chairperson Youssouf reiterated the AU’s unwavering support for ECOWAS in the fulfilment of its mandate.
