The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf today received the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. The Prime Minister presented Ethiopia’s vision for COP32 in 2027. He stated that it is his sincere hope that this COP be a truly African COP, that’s why he requested strong support and strategic partnership with the AU in all aspects for the preparations of this important upcoming event.

The Chairperson of the Commission thanked the Prime Minister for his visit and his leadership. He once again congratulated Ethiopia on being named the host country for the COP32 Summit. He reassured the Prime Minister of the Commission’s availability in accompanying Ethiopia in hosting this important event successfully. He assured the Prime Minister that COP32 would be a truly Continental event.
