The Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, this morning received H.E. Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of #Guinea.

The Chairperson underscored Guinea’s positive trajectory & welcomed the significant progress achieved in advancing an inclusive political transition, anchored in national dialogue & respect for constitutional order. He reaffirmed the AU’s priority on the peaceful facilitation of transitions in suspended Member States & noted with appreciation Guinea’s readiness to fully resume its place within the AU family.

The Chairperson encouraged the sharing of lessons learned from Guinea & Gabon to support other transition processes.

H.E. Dr. Kouyaté commended the Chairperson’s principled leadership & expressed Guinea’s deep appreciation for the AU’s steadfast accompaniment of his country's transition, reaffirming full commitment to full reintegration within the Union.
