AU Commission Chairperson in Paris for International Economic Forum on Africa

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - 03 October 2014: African Union Commission Chairperson H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is in Paris, France, for the 14th International Economic Forum on Africa. The Forum is co-organized by the OECD Development Centre in partnership with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank and the United Nations Development Programme and will take place on the 6th of October 2014 in Paris at the OECD Conference Centre.

Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will deliver a keynote address at the opening of the forum, and later join other panelists to discuss Africa’s Economic Transformation: Achievements and Challenges. The panelists will focus on the role that Industrialization has played in Africa’s economic front and also attempt answering questions on what Africa has learned from past industrial policies; progress achieved over the last decade; new industrial strategies to be implemented; as well as the next essential moves to successful implementation.

Also expected to participate in this 14th International Economic Forum are Mali’s Prime Minister Moussa Mara; UNECA’s Executive Secretary Dr. Carlos Lopes; Founder and President of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Mo Ibrahim; OECD Development Centre Director Mario Pezzini, Former UN Special Envoy for Sahel Romano Prodi, AUC Commissioner for Economic Affairs Dr. Anthony Mothae Maruping, Heads of Governments and Ministers among others.
