          H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

      البيان الصادر عقب اجتماع رؤساء البعثات الدولية لمراقبة الانتخابات إلى الانتخابات الرئاسية الجديدة في كينيا

      نيروبي - 27 أكتوبر 2017: نحن رؤساء البعثات الدولية لمراقبة الانتخابات الموقعين أدناه ، المتواجدين في كينيا ، نصدر هذا البيان حول الانتخابات التي اعيد تحديد موعدها لتعقد بتاريخ 28 أكتوبر 2017.

      نشير إلى قرار اللجنة الانتخابية والحدود المستقلة ، بتأجيل الاقتراع في مقاطعات حوما باي ، كيسومو ، ميجوري ، سياسا ، بناءاً على المادة 55 (ب) من قانون الانتخابات.

      ندرك أن لكافة المواطنين الحق في التصويت أو عدم التصويت. ونقدر أن دستور كينيا يضمن الحق في التظاهر السلمي. ويتحمل المواطنون مسئولية احترام القانون أثناء ممارستهم لحقوقهم، ولذلك، فإننا نحث كافة الكينين على تجنب القيام بأي أعمال غير مشروعة واحترام حقوق المواطنين ، بما في ذلك موظفي مراكز الاقتراع ، المراقبين المستقلين ، وغيرهم ممن يتحملون مسئولية في العملية الانتخابية.

      ومن الضروري أن توفر قوات الأمن الحماية لكافة المواطنين ، وأن تتجنب الاستخدام المفرط للقوة. وندعو إلى مساءلة أجهزة الأمن بصورة تامة عن كافة الاجراءات المتخذة التي أدت إلى وقوع إصابات وخسائر في الارواح.

      إننا نقف مع شعب كينيا في رغبته في كينيا موحدة وسلمية.
