MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT/ 30th AU SUMMIT 22nd - 29th January 2018, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia :ONLINE ACCREDITATION FOR JOURNALISTS NOW AVAILABLE
The Directorate of Information and Communication (DIC) of the African Union Commission (AUC) hereby announces that, the online accreditation process for journalists and the media coverage of the 30th AU Summit, scheduled to take place from 22nd to 29th January 2018, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has been launched on the AU website: www.au.int.
Journalists interested in covering the upcoming AU Summit should register through the following link: https://au.int/web/en/summit/30/accreditation
A media advisory note explaining all the detailed arrangements for media coverage of the 30th AU Summit will be posted soon on the Summit web page: http://au.int/summit/30
Meanwhile representatives of the media are kindly informed that the 30th African Union Summit is scheduled to take place as follows:
22nd– 23rd January 2018: 35th Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives’ Committee
Venue: Medium Conference Hall, New Conference Center, AUC
25th to 26th January 2018: 32nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council
Venue: (Nelson Mandela hall), New Conference Center, AUC
28th to 29th January 2018: 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union
Venue: (Nelson Mandela Plenary Hall)

The theme of the Summit is: “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation”
Journalists are invited to cover all the public sessions open to the media.
