3rd Ordinary Session of the AU STC-TTIIE

WHAT:     The 3rd Ordinary Session of the AU Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Transport, Transcontinental and Interregional Infrastructure, and Energy (STC-TTIIE).

THEME:    The Role of Infrastructure & Energy In The Post Covid-19 Africa:
        Towards Sustainable Economic Recovery, Resilience, Jobs, Industrialization
        & Trade.

    Expert Session 28th – 29th June 2021
    Ministerial Session 30th June 2021

WHO:

The 3rd STC-TTIIE is organized by the African Union Commission (AUC), in collaboration with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).

OBJECTIVES:

The overall objective of the STC-TTIIE meeting is to evaluate the implementation of the specific activities in infrastructure and energy sectors since the last ordinary session of the STC held in Cairo, Egypt, in April 2019, and agreeing on specific interventions as way forward.
    
Participants:           

Participants at the 3rd STC-TTIIE will be drawn from Ministries responsible for Transport (i.e. Air, Road, Railway and Maritime Transport), and Energy sectors in all African Union Member States, RECs, regional development banks and financial institutions, and continental specialized organizations.  Besides, representatives from development partners and international organizations engaged in transport and energy will also attend.
 
Journalists are invited to attend and cover the opening ceremony of the Experts and Ministerial Sessions from 28 - 30 June 2021 starting from 12:00am respectively.
