Islamic Development Bank President Presents Letter of Accreditation as Permanent Observer to the African Union

HE Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), has formally presented the IsDB Group's "Letter of Accreditation as Permanent Observer” to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, HE Moussa Faki Mahamat at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the margins of the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union.

" We're looking to strengthen through the accreditation of IsDB as AU observer the strategic relationship that fosters stronger and constructive engagement with the IsDB in the scaling up the funding toward African MS as well supporting the AUC programmes". AUC Chairperson stated.

Welcoming the AU's granting of the IsDB Group's request for Permanent Observer status to the AU, President Al Jasser reiterated IsDB's commitment to supporting the economic development and social progress of its 27 African member countries and community outreach in non-member countries on the African continent.
