AUC Chairperson held a productive meeting this morning with the WIPO Director General, Mr. Daren Tang
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. @ymahmoudali, held a productive meeting this morning with the WIPO Director General, Mr. Daren Tang. The Chairperson emphasised that as Africa advances in innovation, creativity, & digital trade, WIPO’s support will be essential. He noted that the AU & WIPO can deepen their collaboration to unlock the continent’s full intellectual property potential through capacity building, youth-driven innovation, technology transfer, & value addition in the creative, agribusiness, & cultural industries.
The Chairperson and Mr. Tang agreed to formalise a Memorandum of Understanding to guide partnership in these areas.
