AUC Chairperson and Ethiopia Minister of Labour & Skills Dev officially opened #AfricaSkillsWeek2025
H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, together with H.E. Muferihat Kamil Ahmed Minister of Labour & Skills Development of Ethiopia, officially opened #AfricaSkillsWeek2025, calling for a continent-wide drive to skill & innovate.
The Chairperson underscored that Africa’s transformation depends on investing in its people, harnessing science, technology, & innovation to power inclusive growth and industrialization.
The Continental TVET Strategy 2025–2034 that he launched during the event marks a bold step to equip Africa’s youth with digital, green, & climate-smart skills; vital for realising the AfCFTA & Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want.
He emphasised the necessity to turn Africa’s demographic dividend into a global force for innovation, sustainability, & prosperity.
