The Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf met with Amb. Jalel Chelba, Acting Executive Director of AFRIPOL. He praised AFRIPOL’s key role and activities as a technical institution within the African Peace and Security Architecture and discussed reforms to strengthen this essential mechanism for implementing Agenda 2063. The Chairperson reaffirmed his full support for AFRIPOL’s enhanced role in safeguarding Africa’s security and sovereignty.
