AUC Chairperson met this afternoon with Walter Parrs, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. at the U.S. Mission to the AU
The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf met this afternoon with Walter Parrs, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. at the U.S. Mission to the AU.
Their discussion focused on African Union–United States cooperation, where Mr. Parrs outlined progress in the agriculture & animal health programme, commending effective collaboration with the AU Commission.
They also reviewed momentum on strategic investment and private sector engagement, and exchanged views on regional political situations including Sudan and eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) underscoring the importance of coordinated & aligned diplomatic & mediation efforts.
