October 18, 2014 – October 22, 2014 Technical Training Workshop – Djibouti

Following the capacity building workshop provided on best practice and benefits of establishing Internet Exchange Points in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia organized for Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia and South Sudan, African Union Commission extends the support to provide the second series workshop that focus on technical aspects of Setting up, Operating and Administering Internet Exchange Points (IXPs).
Participants were from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia and South Sudan. A total of 23 participants have successfully accomplished the training that enables them to prepare their respective networks to interconnect to the envisaged National Internet Exchange Points.
Internet Society (ISOC) has been contracted to deliver the workshop.
