What: Official visit of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany H.E. Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier to the African Union Commission.
Highlights for media will include
Handshake photograph of the 2 principals in front of the Nelson Mandela Hall.
When: Wednesday, 30th January 2019 starting at 9:00 a.m.
Where: AU New Complex, African Union HQ.
Why: The Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany will have bilateral discussions with African Union Commission Chairperson H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat regarding peace and security issue as well as developments in foreign and security policy.
After the meeting, the two principals will move to the stairs outside the Mandela Hall to shake hands for photos.
Followed the official bilateral briefing, the German delegation will proceed to the Julius Nyerere Peace and Security building where there will be another event.
