OVERVIEW: This briefing is a weekly engagement of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) with the media to share critical updates on the current state of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and other public health emergencies in Africa.
Thursday’s briefing will provide regular updates on the epidemiological situation of COVID-19, the ongoing Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in Uganda and other health emergencies happening on the continent; highlighting Africa CDC’s support and guidance being provided to Member States for adequate preparedness and response to these health crises. The director will also focus on key highlights from the ongoing GCAM2022 meeting happening in Brussels.
