Africa's Key Messages for COP27

#AfricaCOP27

The Arab Republic of Egypt will host the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Sharm El Sheikh on 6-18 November 2022 under the theme uniting the world to tackle climate change.  The COP27 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UNFCCC.

African regional organizations, namely the Africa Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and partners will jointly develop an Africa Pavilion to host side events, provide a platform for discussion and ensure that Africa’s concerns and priorities are adequately taken into consideration during the climate change negotiation process.
