Africa CDC Weekly Press Briefing on the response to Public Health Emergencies in Africa
INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA
OVERVIEW: This briefing which commenced in 2020 is a channel through which the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has engaged with the media on a weekly basis, to share critical updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic response and other public health emergencies in Africa.
This week’s briefing will provide brief updates and general overview on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and other disease outbreaks happening across the continent. The Director General will also highlight his immediate priorities, outlining the strategic direction for Africa CDC in the medium-term as he assumes official duties.
