AU Commission Chairperson Meets UNOPS Executive Director to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation
The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, His Excellency Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, held a productive meeting with Mr. Jorge Moreira da Silva, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), to discuss enhanced collaboration between the AU and UNOPS.
The discussions focused on deepening strategic partnerships in key areas, including peace & security, governance, health systems strengthening, infrastructure and pandemic preparedness.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment to advancing Africa’s development agenda through innovative, results-driven cooperation.
