13 July 2019, Addis Abeba: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in Somalia’s port city of Kismayo on 12 July 2019.

He expresses his sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wishes a swift recovery to those injured in the attack.

The Chairperson also wishes to reiterate the firm and continued solidarity of the African Union with the people of Somalia in their pursuit for peace in their country.
