H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

MAIYEGUN, the Director of Social Affairs Department; Mr. David CLAPP, the Coordinator of Sub-Regional Platform for East and Southern Africa, UNDP on behalf of the UNDG; and the Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, H.E. Kenya, Nairobi – 12 December 2015 – The African Union Commission (AUC) Department of Trade and Industry in collaboration with the Directorate of Women, Gender and Development organized from 9-12 December 2015, a joint Training Workshop on Trade fair and Agro Value Chain for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Women in Nairobi. The theme of the Training Workshop was: “Fostering the adoption and utilization of improved Agro-Processing Technologies for Women-led or owned SMEs: Policy Perspectives and Managerial Prerequisites”.
Maseru, 7 December 2015: A 5-day Building Resources for Democracy, Governance and Elections (BRIDGE) Training has begun today in Maseru, the Kingdom of Lesotho, for the staff of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). The training on “Civic Education and Voter Information” has the objective to help the staff of IEC to better carry out its constitutional mandate relating to civic education and voter information and enhance political participation. Participants for the training are drawn from senior management and implementers of Civic Education and Voter Information within the IEC.

Dakar, Senegal, 11 December 2015 – the Training Workshop on Trade in Services Negotiations for AU-CFTA Negotiators concluding today. The training workshop which was officially opened by H.E. Mr. Oumar Sarr, the Minister of Trade in Senegal was attended by the AU Francophone countries as well as by the partners of the African Union (AU). The general objective of the training workshop was to build the capacity of services.
