Port Louis, 04 November 2019– African Union Commission (AUC) announces the arrival of an observation mission for parliamentary elections scheduled for 7th November 2019 in the Republic of Mauritius. The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, has dispatched this short-term mission to observe and report on the electoral process.

H.E. Dr Amani Abou-Zeid, African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy, actively participated at this year’s WBG/IMF Annual Meetings held from 14 to 20 October 2019, where the development of the regional digital transformation strategy aiming at enabling inclusive digital transformation in Africa was largely discussed.

H.E Quartey, welcomed the team and noted that the AU is poised to explore the sustainable development of African’s Blue Economy and as such, have a lot to learn from Chile.
