The Initiative provides grants for selected projects through a competitive evaluation process in eight African countries.

Youth Reference Committee

The first cohort of the Youth Reference Committee was officially launched in July 2023 in partnership with the Austrian National Youth Council. The inaugural committee comprises twenty- five African youth representatives selected from all five African Union regions and 15 European youth representatives. The committee’s 12-month mandate commenced on July 5, 2023, with a Virtual 2-day South-North Dialogue.
