He urged them to be impartial and objective during the election. “We are not judges but are here to accompany the Republic of Chad throughout the electoral process”, the former Transitional President of Mali emphasized.

N’Djamenia Chad, 8th April 2016: The Observation Mission of the AUEOM arrived in Chad on the 6th of April 2016 at Kempinski hotel N’Djamena Chad. The two days induction process was led by H.E. Dioncounda Traore, transition President of the Republic of Mali and supported by his team of 34 observers from 23 different African Countries.

Addis-Ababa, 5 April 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has authorized the deployment of the Short Term Electoral Observation Missions (AUEOM) for the Presidential Elections scheduled for 8 April 2016 in the Republic of Djibouti and on 10 April 2016 in the Republic of Chad.
The missions will be undertaken from 06 to 14 April 2016 and will be led respectively by:
