On 16 November 2018, at the Headquarters of the African Union Commission, the President of the Republic of Tunisia, H.E Beji Caid Essebsi, mandated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Khemaies Jhinaoui, to award the National Order of the Diplomatic Merit to Mr. Mourad Ben Dhiab, Secretary General of the African Union Commission.

The Minister commended Mr. Mourad’s dedication, noting his diplomatic experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the African Union Commission that qualified him for this honor from the President of the Republic of Tunisia.

Addis Ababa, 27 - 28 November 2018- The African Union organised a joint African Union- European Union Technical Workshop on Sustainable Reintegration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the support of the International Organization for Migration. Held in the context of the AU-EU-UN Taskforce on the Situation of Migrants Libya, the workshop exchanged good practices, identified challenges and lessons learned, and looked at what more can be done to achieve sustainable reintegration of migrants returning from various regions.
