Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 27th January 2016: The African Union (AU) Executive Council has emphasized the importance of upholding human rights especially women’s rights in Africa for an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa under the Agenda 2063 framework.

This came at the opening of the 28th Ordinary Session of the AU Executive Council today 27 January 2016, at the AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the theme: “2016: African Year of Human Rights with a particular focus on the Rights of Women”.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 21 January 2016: The African Union Commission (AUC), through its’ Department of Infrastructure and Energy, and Cluff Geothermal ltd signed a Grant Contract for financial support - totaling USD 862,131, to conduct surface study activities and infrastructure upgrades at the Cluff Geothermal ltd owned Fantale geothermal prospect located in Ethiopia. The Grant Contract was signed by the AUC Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy, Dr. Elham M. A. Ibrahim, and Mr. George Percy, on behalf of Cluff Geothermal ltd, at the AUC headquarter.
