Launch of the First Continental Report on Implementation of Agenda 2063

The First Continental Report on the Implementation of Agenda 2063 was launched today on the margins of the 33nd Ordinary Summit of the African Union. The report is an assessment of 31 African Union Member States and six Regional Economic Communities towards achieving Africa’s blueprint and master plan for sustainable development and economic growth.

On the sidelines of the 33rd Assembly of the African Union held in Addis Ababa, twelve Heads of State solemnly accepted the invitation of His Excellency Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, President of the Republic of Mali, African Union leader for Arts, Culture and Heritage to act as co-champions.

The African Union and the United Nations have launched the “She Stands For Peace” book, recognizing and celebrating outstanding African women and girls who have exceptionally advanced the women, peace and security agenda in Africa.
