AUC at the 12th Annual International Forum MEDays
Tangier, Kingdom of Morocco- 16 November 2019: H.E. Dr Amani Abou-Zeid, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy took part in the 12th Annual International Forum MEDays, running in Tangier, Morocco from November 13-16. This year’s edition was organized under the theme “Global distrust crisis: Facing subversion and uncertainties”. The event was attended by 4,000 participants from across the Continent and elsewhere.
The African Union as the owner of the African Games symbolically hands over the AU flag to the host country Morocco as per the rituals of the event.

Rabat, 20 August 2019: The 12th Edition of the African Games officially opened on Monday 19 August in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco; H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, and H.E. Amira El Fadila, Commissioner of Social Affairs, AU Commission. Holding under the theme Creating Opportunities through Sports for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons”, the event is scheduled to take place from 19-31 August 2019 in different cities of the Kingdom of Morocco.
